PM Awas Yojana: Everyone dreams of building their own house, some people achieve it but the financial condition of some people is not such that they can build their own house. For such people, schemes are run by the Central and State Governments, in which they are given financial assistance for housing. The central government also provides help to the poor to build houses under the PM Awas Yojana. Now a big announcement has been made in the Union Budget regarding this scheme, in which it has been told that there is a plan to build crores more houses under the scheme in the next five years.

Finance Minister announced
Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman mentioned all the schemes of the Central Government in her budget speech. The name of PM Awas Yojana was also included in these. In his speech, the Finance Minister said, “Despite the challenges arising due to Covid, the implementation of Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana (Rural) continued and we are close to achieving the target of three crore houses. The need arising due to increase in the number of families has been met. To complete this, construction work of two crore additional houses will be started in the next five years.”

How much help do you get?
That is, in view of the increasing number of families, now the Central Government is going to build two crore more houses under the PM Awas Yojana. Under this scheme, the government provides financial assistance to build a permanent house. An amount of Rs 1 lakh 20 thousand is given for building a house in the plain areas and Rs 1 lakh 30 thousand is given for the hilly areas. Financially weak people are given the benefit of this scheme.

According to the information received from the government, so far about three crore pucca houses have been built or are being built through this scheme. You can apply for this scheme both online and offline. If you do not know how to apply online, then you can go to the nearest Panchayat building and get information about it and apply with the help of the Panchayat officer.
